A New Way to Order Coffee

I was brought in as Senior Digital Designer to help Starbucks transition from printed menus to a dynamic, digital solution.

My work started with defining and creating an extensible, scalable atomic design system. Then came the content: storyboarding and art directing photo and video shoots, creating animated prototypes (Sketch, Mitya, After Effects, Animate) and mocking it up in store.

In the next stage I focused on learning both qualitatively and quantitatively how to fine tune our approach with focus groups and store field trips to inform a user-centered design.

After implementing the feedback, my role expanded into defining and managing the asset production pipeline, creating and maintaining pattern libraries while continuing to collaborate and refine design.

As soon as it’s released to the public, I’ll be able to share the work here.

  • Participated in regular reviews and creative brainstorming sessions with cross-functional teams to generate new ideas for third-party retail environments

  • Provided hands-on guidance and valuable exposure to various areas of design, illustration, and industry to the junior design teams.
